This is a plant that will do great near water or in moist soils. It has a clumping growth habit, reaching 10-12" tall with a 20" spread at maturity. This is a great grass for mixed containers, giving them movement and interest, especially since it tends to look weedy in the landscape. It can also be grown on a cool windowsill.
